Supply Chain Associate/ Inventory Control Analyst


The Inventory Control Analyst is an essential position that will ensure implementation and monitoring procedures are in place to properly control inventory in all warehouse locations. The position will assist management in the development and implementation of a formal program to audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy. This individual will lead the cycle counts program to identify and eliminate any problems found in daily cycle counts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Other duties may be assigned.  

  • Ensure the quality, consistency and accuracy of FHC inventory transactions in all areas.
  • Manage all aspects of FHC’s Cycle Count Program at FHC Bowdoin.
  • Pick material required and deliver to production floor with high accuracy. Oversee other individuals picking materials when necessary.
  • Record into the ERP system daily supply items used for production.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the company’s ERP system in relation to inventory management and aid others with system transactions.
  • Perform daily cycle counts in the stock and LS locations and use the ERP system to research and determine the cause of any variance. 
  • Maintain appropriate inventory balances, anticipate the needs of the company and alert the buyer when items are needed *using pre-set reorder quantities. Alert production of “make” shortages.
  • Perform a weekly review of jobs partially kitted and identify what is missing and report to Material Management Coordinator and Production Manager.
  • Verify material received into the stockroom against the ERP system for current on-hand quantities, bringing variances to the attention of Materials Management Coordinator for adjustment.
  • Receive incoming items daily
  • Ship outgoing items daily
  • Perform daily area cleaning tasks before end of shift
  • Make recommendations for change and/or improvements to processes with rationale for the recommendation.
  • Collaborate with finance to update and maintain FHC’s excess and obsolete inventory.

  • 0-15% travel required

Fluent use of the English language (speaking and reading). 


Bachelors or Associates Degree in business related field or Inventory/Logistics management from an accredited liberal arts or technical institution preferred and/or 3+ years experience in supply chain.  Experience working at a medical device or food manufacturer preferred.
